HOPES OF LIBERALS REVIVED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. LONDON, Feb. 26. Liberals claim that Mr. Asquith’s election marks the beginning of a newlife for Liberalism. Mr. Asquith received a substantial Conservative vote, partly as a result of his firm attitude against nationalisation. He also . received a large women’s vote, the women being chiefly influenced by the soaring prices of household necessities, for which the Government is blamed.— iAus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
