MELBOURNE, July 24. 'The Postmaster-General’s report shows a profit of £387,381 compared with a loss of £117,146 in the previous year. For the first time the telegraph branch worked at a profit, totalling £28,116. Of C 36 million letters and other articles handled only 14*514 failed to reach their destination.
