THE WINTER SHOW.
The Taranaki .Metropolitan Agricultural' Sociotv's lug winter fixture appears to be attracting a great deal more interest this year than in previous years. It may possibly be on account of tiio wonderful display promised by the Government Agricultural Department, or it, may be that the successful winter function is becoming more popular each year. In any case it is assured'by the numerous inouiries lor space and schedules that the large Coronation Hall and the two annexes will be lull t« overflowing during June 9 to 12, nnd New Plymouth will be very busy. The dairy produce classes, for winch the entries have closed, have drawn a record number of competitors and will lie a show worth seeing. The side shows and working exhibits will by move numerous than ever, and will include some of the star attractions now doing lh° principal towns ol New Zealand, so tbat'visiters to the show will find plenty to sec and ajmise them. The schedule, which is now being issued ami can bo bad on application, lias been completely revised, and is now on a verv extensive scale, providing competitions (or one and all. Altogether the show gives promise of being the best ever held in this district, and can be made so if everyone will assist. If you haven’t received a schedule, don’t forget to send for one, as you arc sure to find at len»t one class you can enter in.
