After the Tattersall Hurdle Race the stewards lined tho trainer and jockey of Flute Player for excessive use of the spurs. To-day, in tho Police Court, the trainer. Forbes, was charged with causing Flute Player to be ill-treated, and tho jockey. Moon, with ill-treating the hoisc. The charge against Forbes was withdrawn, the only allegation against him being that he did not allow the jockey ro use dummy spurs. Moon was lined ten shillings. He stated that tho trainer instructed him to use tho spurs, as Flute Player was unreliable, roguish and lazy, and would have slopped otherwise.
