CHARGE OF HARBOURING

Acting on a Sydney warrant, tho Tasmanian )>olwx> arrostinl a man named Samuel Faulkincr aboard the Launceston train on a- charge that, knowing Ryan had committed the Evelcigh robbery, he at Melbourne had harboured, maintained and assisted Ryan. A search disclosed fifty-seven five-pound notes - on Sydney hanks sewn into Fsmlkincr’s clothing, also twenty pounds in- gold. Faulkincr was until recently employed in a city warehouse. According to the police, at about the time of the Eveicigli h.olcl-up, ho suddenly loft his employment on the excuse that ids daughter was ill. It is stated that Faulkincr had booked passages for himself ami his daughter, and should have sailed to-day.
