CHARGE OF CONSPIRACY. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. —COPYRIGHT. (Received Oct. 28, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 27. Louis Cohen, author of “Reminiscence of Kimberley,” has been charged with conspiring with Berger in connection with the libels on Sir J. B. Robinson, tho African millionaire.
[Sir J. D. Robinson, in November, 1911, recovered £IOOO damages from Coben, who .in his book stated that Robinson’s early career was as a fraudulent dealer,' swindler and coward. Cohen in evidence stated that Robinson’s reputation in South Africa was that of a liar, coward, betrayer of women and illicit diamond buyer. In June, 1912, Berger was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for perjury in his evidence in the 1911 case.]
