VETERANS’ HOME.

MEETING OF GOVERNORS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Oct. 19. The annual meeting of the governors of ihe Veterans’ Home was held to-day, ilia Excellency the Governor in the chair. The report showed that the average number of resident veterans had been SB, the accommodation being limited to 40. Seven of the original members are still in tho home. The board passed hearty votes of thanks to the Auckland committee for its excellent work during tho year and to all others who had assisted. The Governor was re-elected president, Colonel R. J. Collins hon. secy., and the Hon. E. Alitchelsou hon. treasurer. The Hon. E. Mitchelson and Mr. J. H. B. Coates wore appointed trustees.
