PETROLEUM.
TARANAKI. COMPANY. Tho directors of the Taranaki Petroleum Company held their customary weekly meeting last night. About 577 preference shares a c allotted. Several orders were received from various parts of tho Dominion for crude oil and applications were also received for samples. The manager, Mr. Keith, reported that there was no abatement In the flow of oil from No. 2 bore. No. 3 was flowing belter than usual and drilling was proceeding through the same formation. At No. o good progress was being maintained with the driUing. At Reef ton on Saturday last Kotuku oil shares (10s paid) were quoted, buyers JOs premium.
