SWIMMING.
Tho mile championship of the New Plymouth Amateur Swimming Club was decided at the municipal baths last night. The winner holds tho championship cup, presented by Mr. James Smith, for the ensuing twelve months. There were five starters—Bfankuch, Howell, A. V. Stohr, Brown, and Dixon. Pfanxuch, last year’s winner, again finished first, about a length ahead of Brown. Dixon was tho only other starter to finish.
