SCENE AT THE INQUEST
By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received Jan. 4, 9 a.m.) PERTH, Jan. 4. Tho inquest on the supposed body of Ethel Harris has been resumed. Several witnesses identified the clothe* and jewellery found on tho body as belonging to the dead girl. There was a scene when the accused man started cross - examining Ethel Harris' father. . The latter called Smart a black wretch and villain, and constables had to prevent him leaving the witness-box to execute a threat to smash Smart.
