NEW BISHOP APPOINTED. A UNANIMOUS VOTE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Oct. 25. The Anglican Syuod, which resumed this afternoon, was still sitting in camera at midnight, a ballot being in progress for the selection of a bishop in Dr. Neligati’s place. The result of the ballot has not yet been 4fin6Unded. AUCKLAND, Oot. 36. Tho Anglican Synod, after, taking several votes on a number of names for the election of noiv bishop in Committee, in open session appointed the Rev. John Primal Maud, Vicar of St. Mary Redeliff, Bristol, England, the vote being practically unanimous. [Tho Rev. John Primal Maud, M.A., Oxoli., was ordained Deacon in 1888 and Priest in 1889. In 1904 he Was appointed, vicar of the large, and,,important West of England parish of Redcliff, Bristol, which ifi ChureM circles is recognised as One of tho most active and important parishes ill England, He is Rural Dean of Bedminster, and is Hon. Chaplain to tho Bishop Of Glasgow. He has also acted as eoiftfniet&fy to the Bishop of Pretoria, South Africa.]
