CANTERBURY SHOW.

CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 12. For "People's Da^" of the Canterbury A. and P. Association's metropolitan show the weather was fine and warm', and as a result there was a rery large attendance, which is estimated to have exceeded that of last year, when a record of 35,000 was put up. The Premier visited tha show grounds during the afternoon and inspected the exhibits under the guidance of the president, Mr. A. Chamberlain. The takings to-day at the gates totalled £1289 9s 6d, which docs not include the visitors who went to the show by rail. For the three days the estimated takings (with the exception of the abovementioned) was £1550, as compared with the actual takings hurt year of £1676.
