AT "AOTEA."
TO-MORROW'S CONCERT. At a meeting of the New Plymouth Beautifring Association held at the Town Hall last night final details were arranged in connection with the sacred concert to be given at "Aotea" tomorrow afternoon by the Garrison Band. The programme has been specially selected, and among the items to be rendered will be many of the popular old hymn tunes. It has been arranged that tho 'gates will be opened at 1.80 p.m., and the concert will commence on the lawn immediately in front of the Maori house at 3 o'clock. Special 'bus services have been arranged from town and Fitxroy. A collection will be taken up on behalf of the funds of the Beautifying Association. Visitors are par~ ticularly requested not to take their dogs with them to the grounds. Included in the numbers to be rendered are the following j— March, "The Church's One Foundation " (Newton Feiie); Hymns by British composers — "St. Thomas" (English, Purcell), ." Stracathro "'" ' (Scottish, Hutcheson), "Sing Ye, O Heavens" (Irish, Dr. Woodward), "Crugyber" ("Alaw Cymrei«." Welsh, Williams), "The Harvest of the Soa" Manx Hymn (Isle of Man) : grand selection, M L'EHsir d'Amour " (Doniuetti) ; Handel's celebrated Largo ; serenata (euphonium solo). "Love in Idleness" (Macbeth).
