EGMONT SHOW.
Splendid entries have so far been received for the home industries portion of the show, and we remind our readers that entries will still be taken up to next Saturday, the 13th inst. The schedule is well worthy of perusal, and has 81 different classes, including classes of every description. For those whose, forte is represented in the cooking' ! classes there is every class of cookins from the loaf of home-made bread to the family cake and best iced and ornamental cake. The prize money is well and evenly allocated, and competitors have ample encouragement in the matter of prize awards. In addition to the above classes there are those for woodwork carving in chip and relief, collection of curiOs, amateur photography, oil paintings and water colours, sewing, etc. Most of our readers could exhibit something, and we hope to see the association meet wjth a hearty response to the attractive programme. Entries close positively on Saturday, November 13. Schedules are still obtainable from the secretary, box 37, telephone 173, Hawera.
