Messrs. Webster Bros, report : — At the mart on Saturdaly we had a fair entry of poultry, and prices showed an advance on last week's prices. Old hens made Is- 4d to Is Bd. young do. Is 9d to 2s, pullets— fair Is 9d to 2s Id, good 2s 6d to 3s, roosters Is 6d to Is Bd, purebred roosters 3s 6d, cockerels 2s 8d to 3s, ducks 2s to 2s 4d. Fruit. — Fruit has come forward in larger Quantities during the past week and prices still remain firm, as under : Apples, prime desserts 8s 6d and 4s, seconds 6s and 3s; pears 5s 6d to 7s 6d, oranges 9s, bananas 8s 6d. Cabbages Ss, parsnips 4s 3d, marrows 3s, onions 6s 9d (all per sack).
