The committee ajsam made j" urgent effort to obtain a D'stnet Uig' School for Opnnako. and although tm reply received from the Taranaki Iviucatibn Board was not very encouvaging, the committee still pushed the matter and sent a deputation to V. ctlington, viz., the Rev. J. M'Arthur who interviewed the Minister of l'.du cation and placed the matter fully «irvi clearly before him.
