MUNICIPAL ROLLS.

(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 27. At a meeting of the City Council for receiving claims for enrolment, the Town Clerk stated that owing to insufficient time for inquiry it would be easy to stuff the roll with the names of persons not entitled to vote, chiefly boarders. It had been suggested at the Municipal Conference that the time for receiving claims for the supplementary roll should be extended from 14 to 28 days before the elections, and the Council expressed approval of the proposal.
