(From our own Correspondent.) Mr Deiniel Cullen. a nephew of 51 r Cullen a well-known settler, is in a serious condition from appendicitis. Tho building trade, which has be.Mi very dead for .some time, seems to be looking up again, and during th > past few weeks several buildings ha\e been started. A match between hounds owned re- - poctively by Messrs C. Popperill an I T. O'Connor has been arranged for an early date. Each owner seems pr. pared to back his agent for all he is worth.
