Poultry Notes.
— i « A GOOD, RECORD. Mr J. Bennett, of New Plymouth, has four Indian JRunner ducks, which have laid from March #st, 1903, to February 20th, 1904(12 months), 95fi eggfi, an average of 239 eggs eacl). which, at an average of Is per dozen, would bring the owner in Dearly £ \ each. These ducks were fed principally on scraps from the house, bu« even if the owner had to buy food fot them it wduld not cost more than 6^ par head to feed them for the year, which would leave a profit of nearly 14s each, thus showing that Indian Runner ducks, properly fed aud care>l for, can be kept at a profit for egg production alone.
