Capbtown, February 3. — General Joubert's prasenee at the Upper Tugela is taken as an indication that the Boers expect a renewal of the British attack. Received February 5, 8.45 a.m. Duriian, February 4. —Native deserters from the Boer camps report that five Boer field-cornets were killed during the recent fighting on the Tugela River, the enemy's casualties totalling 1,000, while seven of their guns were disabled. The Boers, they say, are very despondent.
