Some 300 natives from the Waikato, en route to Patea (w hbre a bie meeting is to be held), are expected ia Wattara to-day. The Raleigh Town Board hold a special meeting on Monday evening to consider an application from the Freeziug Works to lay a line aloag Qaeen-street. A cable messajo was received here on Friday to the effect that Mr Scott, of Sydney, who had been appointed minager of the Freezing Works, had died suddenly. It is expected that the alteration at tha works will be in haad in the course of a few days
