CORRESPONDENCE.
[We are not responsible for the opinions ex pressed by correspondent?. 'The writer' name, as a guarantee of good faith, mat be enclosed in the letter.! THE BETTER DELIVERY OF LETTERS IN THE SUBURBS. TO THE EDITOR. Sin,— Wich your permission, I should like to write a few lines on behalf of the residents of Fitaroy on a matter of importance, namely, the letter delivery Does it not seem behind the .times that the residents and ratepayers cannot get 1 heir letters till 4.30 p.m., and then have to go all the way round to that post office house, and are charged Id extra for ths postage from town, instead, us we ought to have, a proper dtlivery ? In Onehunga the postal authorities send a boy on horseback three miles out of the borough, and what is the reason thit thii is not done in New Plymouth ? I will tell you the reason : The residents do not agitate enough ; they ought; to wake out of their slumbers, and stir themselves, like the residents did , around the aforesaid borough, then, perhaps, in a short while ,we would have a proper delivery I must just further add, that the Auckland residents get their Southern letters two or three hours before we poor people do . — I am, &<j., A Resident.
