REPORTED ROBBERY AT TEALE ROAD.
ROAD. Information was given this (Monday) morning that a robbery had bean committed at Mr Griffin's house, Vealeßoad, noar Westown, and a sum of money stolen from the premises on the preceding night while the members of the household were absent It seems that a pans of glass was found broken when the family returned, and a search of the premises revealed tbat some money, totalling some £12, had been stolen. A youth named Wilson, who works for Mr Griffin, stpte3 that ho had been saving up his wages, and all his savings, amounting to several pounds, was missing from his room. Mr Griffiu, jun., also stated that he hud missed some money amounting to a few pounds in value.
Sergt. Stagpoolo proceeded to Mr Griffin's place this (Monday) morning, and made enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the affair.
It is assumed tbat tho thief broke the pane of gla&s, pushed back the casement catch, and effected an entrance by opening the window.
