The Late Chairman. — Mr George said that he thought that a resolution should be placed on record with regard to the valuable services rendered by the late Mr T. King. He moved, "This meeting desires to place on record its lrgh sense of the valuable services rendered during many continuous years by its late chair man, Mr Thomas King, and to express itß sympathy wi h Mrs King and members of the family in their recent bereavement " — Sir Connett seconded the motion, and said that he could speak personally as to Mr King's abilities and valuable services, as ho hac 1 been associated with Mr King for many years.— Mr BEWLEYsaid that the Board had sustained a loss ia the death of the chairman, who had rendered valuable services. Mr King had carried out tho duties of chairman with mnrked ability, and at the same time Mr King hud worked in tho causo of tho Board with much zeal and onthusiasm. — Mr George Eaid thai it would not l-e, perhaps, known forsomo timo tho valuable work that Mr King had done for tho Board as it would take time to show them the many duties pertaining to the chair. — The resolution was then put and carri<d unani mouflly, Election of Chairman. — Mr Connett gave notice of motion "That the Board at its next meeting elect a Chairman in tho place of tho late Mr T.
