MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY.

MR R. H. GIBSON'S LECTURE;

There was a large attendance at the meeting of the Mutual Improvement Society, in the Liardet-street Schoolroom, on Thursday night, to hear Mr R. H. Gibson deliver his lecture, on " Personal Recollec tions of a Tour in Norway and Sweden." vi r N. K. Macdiarmid was in the chair. Mr Gibson's lecture was a very able one, the descriptions of life and scenery in the Scandinavian Peninsula being particularly vivid and entertaining. The lecturer, who was listened attentively to, spoke for quite an hour, and at the conclusion of his lecture received a hearty vote of thanks.
