The Benefit of an "a."
A puddler went the other day to get his ohild christened. Minister — W hat name shall you call the child? Puddler — Thoo can caal the kid owt thoo likes. Minister — I think Benjamin is a very nice name. Puddler — Varry weel; caal it Benjamin. The puddler came out of the church with his wile and child, highly delighted with the name, when a thought struck him. Rushing back into the church, and overtaking the minister walking down the aisle, he exclaime/ 1 Hey, ruister, the young squeaker's a lass. The rninibter was at a loss what to do under the circumstances. However, he put in an a at the end of the name, and they call the cnild .Benjamina. He — What beautiful teeth you have, my dear. What do you use on them 1 She — The ashes of my tiist husband ; he was cremated, you know. Which is the richest country in the world? Ireland. Why is it ? Beoausa it's capital is always Dublin (doublin 1 ). _ ;
