Adelaide, March 31. Mr. J. L. Toole, the well-known comedian, and his Company have arrived here. He was accorded a most enthusiastic welcome. Adelaide, April 1. An audacious robbery of £2(500 took place yesterday at the counter of the Commercial Bank. The thief got clear away. The total amount of wheat exported to date is 93,000 tons. This is within 300 tons- of the whole of last year's export. Melbourne, March 31. Twenty per cent, of the residents of Williamstown have been attacked with influenza. Melbourne, April 1. The revenue for the quarter shows a decrease of £05,000 compared with the same period last year. The falling off is partly accounted for by a decrease of £31,000 in stamps owing to a reduction in the postage rates. A full Court lias decided that the National Bank must bear the loss caused by the Onyons frauds. Sydney, March 31. Owing to the recent heavy rains, the town of Yetman, situated on the banks of the river McEntyre, and -133 miles north of Sydney, is submerged. Mrs Chultze and boj r have been drowned. The recently established Locomotive Company undertake to manufacture engines at £05 por ton, against £(50 charged by English manufacturers. The first hundred of locomotives are to be completed in three years. The International Wharf Laborers' Conference has agreed to federate all "Wharf Laborers' Societies throughout Australasia. Sydney, April 1. The revenue of New South Wales for the quarter shows an increase of £51,000. McLean has covered O'Connor's deposit for a sculling match. Brisbane, April 1. Owing to the ravages by the storm and flood out west, a famine among the settlers is threatened.
