THE CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

OPENING DAY. The bazaar, which has for some years past bean got up almost annually by the parishioners of the Catholic Church, assisted by friends, was opened at 2 o'clock this (Monday) afternoon, by His Worship the Mayor, who made a few appropriate remarks in performing the ceremony. Tho bazaar will be continued to-night, to-mor-row (Tuesday), and Wednesday, and everything points to a successful issue. The hall is, as usual, most tastefully arranged — stalls occupying space along the side and in front of the stage, while evergreens adorn all points of vantage. A handsome nikau tree in front of the stage is a very conspicuous ornamentation. The stalls are loaded with all sorts of fancy goods and " knick-knacks," and one would imagine from quality that tho stall-holders and their assistants will have no difficulty in disposing of their wares. Tho stalls arc four in number — three being for goods, and one for refreshments. No. 1 stall is in charge of. Miss Collins anil Mrs Roche, who are assisted by Mcsdames Yatcs, Underwood, Bowes, Misses Yatos, Hammond (2), Jury, Moore, Bowes, and Bosworth. This stall has some very choice goods displayed. No 2 stall is presided over by Misses Bennett and N. Christie, who are assited by Mcsdamcs O'Britsn, Whittaker, Ahem, Misses S. Clnistio, B. Bennett, Oliver (4), Olrlfield (2), Foreman, Colson, Wood (3), Inch, Revel!, Lambert, Northcote, McLoughlin, Moore, Speed, Scrivener, Layard, and Jury (3.) No. 3 stall, which occupies the whole length of tho room on the loft side, is in charge of McsdamesDignan, Francis, Neill, and Townlcy, who arc assisted by Misses j Hcmpton, Edgccombe(2),Neillan, Old field (2), Duflin (3), Duggan(2), Wheeler, Kano, Nicholls, and Mesdamcs Bass, Cornoy, and i Kyngdon. The refreshment stall is in charge of Mesdamcs Grey and J. Hart, jun., who are assisted by Misdamcs Joseph and Pearce.
