Melboucne, March 29. The Department of Agriculture has received a letter from London saying the success of the Australian butter is assured, and says it is superior to New Zealand. The influenza is bad at Ballarat, Sandhurst, and Castlemain. There are a hundred and twenty cases on H.M.S. Orlando, and in some of the suburban districts the cases are of a severe type. Sydney, March 29. The Government has accepted the terms of the Locomotive Company, which comprises Greenwod (of Greenwood and Battley, Leeds), and Pepper (of Taylor Brothers, the well-known steel makers of Leeds).
