ARRIVAL OF THE AORANGI. Wellington, December 30. The Aorangi was beithed at 10 o'clock. She left Plymouth, after having been detained by fog, oa November 16, with 300 bags of mails and 13 boxes parcels po3t, 232 passengers, and 5G boxes of specie. She arrived at Teneriffe on November 21, Capetown December 7, and Hobart on December 25. Sydney J. Perrin, a second-class passenger, died of phthisis on December 13. Fine weather •was experienced throughout the voyage. The scarlet fever victim on the s.s. Aorangi was a child. As soon as the disease showed itself every precaution was taken to prevent it spreading to the other passengers, the mother and child being removed to the hospital, and put ashore when Hobart was reached. The vessel received a clean bill of health from Hobart, and the Health Officer here passed her without demur.
