GOVERNOR OF FIJI IN AUCKLAND. Acckland, December 27. Sir J. B. Thurston, the Governor of Piii, has arrived, but does not intend to visit Dunedin. He has taken a house here for his family for the summer. He remains till after the Jubilea in Auckland, and then returns to Fiji, leaving his family behind. A PAPER STOPPED PUBLICATION Blenheim. December 27. The morning paper Marlborough Daily Times has suspended publication. INSURANCES ON GREEN'S BACON , FACTORY. Christchuuch, December. 27. The insurances on Green's bacon factory, which was burnt on Tuesday morning were : — New Zealand, £2500 ; Union, £1000 ; Colonial, £1000 : Imperial, £1000 ; London and Lancaster, £1000; Sun, £1000: Liverpool London, £500. Another sum of £1000 in the Phoenix office was transferred last week to a building at Addingion.
