Messrs Goldwater Bros, are now making up their Christmas hampers, particulars of which may be found in another column. The Secretary of the Horticultural Society was busily engaged to-day receiving entries for the Show, which will be opened to be public at 2.30 o'clock to-morrow (Wednesday) afternoon. Tho entries promise to be fully up to former years. As briefly intimated elsewhere, it has been decided to repeat the performance of the cantata " Under the Palms" on Thursday evening, for the benefit of the Band. The charge for admission has been fixed at the very low sum of one shilling to all parts of the hall, so that everyone may have an opportunity both of enjoying a rare musical treat, and of contributing a small sum to the fund for paying the expenses of the Band to Dunedin.
