Mr. Hiddlestone, who was ten years Registrar-General, it is understood when the Treasurer makes his statement on Wednesday, will move an amendment to test the fiscal policy of the Government. If the Ministry is defeated it is probable an appeal to the country will be made.
Hobart, November 30.
Disastrous floods have occurred in the north, and the principal railways have been considerably damaged. Many of the bridges have been washed away.
