MASONIC INSTALLATION.
Tiiebb was a large gathering of local Freemasons in the Kobe-street Lodgeroom on Tuesday night, when the installation service and investiture of oilicers of tho Ngamotu Lodge, 2053, E.C., took place. The sister Lodges — Mt. Egmont, 670, E.C., and Do Burgh Adams, 446, I.C. — were both of them well represented, and visitors wore also present from Lodges Canterbury Kilwiuning, and YVestlaud Pacific, 1229, E.G. Bro. W. £1. Webb was installed as W.M. for the ensuing year, the ceremonies being performed by Bro. Holforti, P.M., assisted by liro. McAllum, I.P.M. The W.M. then invested officers as under : — Senior Warden, Bro. U. W Hendry ; Junior Warden, Bro. G. H. Foote ; Chaplain, Bro. Rev. T. Farley ; Treasurer, Bro. J . Little ; Secretary, P.M. Bro. D. McAllum ; Organist, iSro. G^ Garry ; Senior Deacon, Bro. T. P. Lister ; Junior Deacon, P.M. Bro. J . H. lloli'ord ; Inner Guard, Bro. J. (J. Gmmwood ; Director of Ceremonies, Bro.OlavoDoacon; Tyler, Bro. S. Howell. After the closing ot tho Lodge an adjournment was made for refreshment, and a couple of hours were afterwards spent in a pleasant manner.
