RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
> (Continued from yesterday.) > On the Court resuming at 3 o'clock A. . V. Kirk by gave evidence in the caso of i E. D. Westmacott v. James Mitchinson. i Claim, £1 lls 6d. He said that he did not give the receipt to the defendant on . behalf of Mr Westmacott in settlement of the claim. He thought he had got the receipt back when Tie learned that Mr ' Mitchinson had sold the roller that ho '< (witness) was to buy for the plaintiff. Ho i was sent with the receipt and a cheque for i £4 8s 6d to buy the roller, the price of I which was £6. — The Bench gave judgs ment for plaintiff for the amount claimed, • with costs £1 13s. The Court rose.
