HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

At the adjourned meeting of the now Governors of the High School, held on Wednesday afternoon, 23rd instant, tho following members of the Board were present : — Messrs Halcombe (chairman), Marchant, Gibson, Captain Cornwall, and Dr. Hutchinson. Appointment of Officers. — Mr J. B. Roy was appointed acting chairman ; Mr O. Samuel, solicitor to the Board; Mr J. B. Roy, treasurer ; and MrvElisha Veale, secretary. I C mmWees. — Tho following committees were appointed: — Finance Committee, the Chairman, Messrs Roy and Gibson; iligh School Visiting Committee, tho Chairman and two or more members of tho Board, to be chosen at each monthly meeting. Banking Account. — It was resolved that .the High School account bo kept at the Bank of New Zealand. Meetings. — Ordinary meetings of the Board are to bo held on the lirst Wednesday in each month, at the Education Board Office, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon. Conference. — Mr Pridhatu, M.A., Principal of the High School, met tho Governors in conference. Tho Board adjourned to Wednesday, December 4th.
