Thb Education Board met *n Wednesday. Present: Miss Heywood, Mrs Riohmond, Messrs Kelly (ohairmaa), Bauchope, Faull, Olson, Adlam, Syme, and Andrews. Waipuhu residence. — The architect was instructed to repair the chimney of the Waipuku School residence, as per application of Midhirst Committee. Architect's report.— The Architect reported thut the Oanui School was completed ; that he wqb disappointed with the progress rnude with the Tarata School, but was satisfied with the work done ; and that tho contract for the Eltharu Road School had been signed. Bell Block cadet. — Miss Constance Rundle was appointed cadet at the Bell Block School from July Isth, as per recommendation of the committee. Upland Road'—Mißß Nixon was appointed teacher at Uplaad Road School, in accordance with the recommendation of the Ball Block Committee, who stated their first choice, Mr Cattley had withdrawn hiß name. — Miss Nixon's appointment will datu from September 1. Alterations. — It was decided to shift the porch at the Upland Road School to the north sido, as applied for bj the committee, and that the tank there should by Bold. The New Zealand Exhibition. — A memo was received from the Education Department relative to the Board expending inoaey in sending school property exhibits to Dunedin for the New Zealand Exhibition. The Department wanted a list of exhibits to be sent, with reasons for sending them. — The Board decided to leave the question of exhibits ia the hands of the Inspector, who will deal with it.
