OUR BIOGRAPHIES OF THE NEW
MEMBERS. Oub readers may have been a little surprised at our being able to publish a short biography of the new members returned to Parliament so quickly after their election. We have bpen enabled to do this in connection with the other leading newspapers in the colony, by making arrangements previously at the chief provincial centres. Eaoh district supplies the other districts, aud consequently these biographies are published simultaneously in the New Zealand Herald, the Tabanaki Hebald, New Zealand Times, Hawke's Bay Herald, the Canterbury Press, the Nelßon Evening Mail, and Otago Times. These biographies are transmitted to us by wire by thoße who have prepared them in the several districts; and we are thus able to give our readers an early insight into the character and position of the"- new members returned to Parliament.
