ORGAN RECITAL AT ST. MARY'S CHURC H .

An organ recital was given by Sfc. Mary's Churchy cboir after church service on Sunday night, moßt of the congregation remaining behind to hear it. The recital wnsgot apby the ohoirmaster, Mr. Manson, who obtainbd the Bervises of Mr. MorehearJ and Mr. Pownall. Mr. Morshead, who some years ago was organist at St. Mary's, played "In Native Worth," from "the Creation," during the offertory. The recital thsn followed, and pieces performed an under : — Mr. Morshead very spiritedly rendered a barcarolle by Stercdale Bennett ; a sonff, " Gome unto me," was well given by Miss Hamerton, _ as was a song, " Weary," by Miss Cottier ; Mr. Garry played an organ 8010, a dirge, very effectively, and was followed by Mr. Manson in the song " Arise, He Oalleth Thee ;" Mr.Pownall, of Wanganui, came next with an organ solo, and Mr. Morshead brought tho reoital to a close by playing a selection fro in Costa's "Naaman." Mr. Garry accompanied the vocalists on the organ.
