FIBE AT MABTEBTON. Mastebion, September 2. Two oottages were burned at midnight, caused by a defective chimney. Very little was saved. The insurances are £125 in the Now Zealand and £75 in the North British. HEAVr RAIN AT GRBYMOOTH. Gbeymoutb, September 2. It is raining very hard, and two inches fell in the night. The river is in slight fresh, and there is a possibility of a flood as the weather has nob cleared, and the ranges are heavily covered with snow.
