AUSTRALIAN TELEGRAMS.
Adelaide, Adelaide, 29. The Orient steamship Orazella arrived from Plymouth to-day, and has the following passengers for New Zealand : — Mr. Skelton and wife, Mr. Horder and wife, Messrs. Doperry and Vaughan. Sydney, August 28. Arrived : Steamship Waihora from Auckland. Mr. Julien Thomas (" The Vagabond ") has been obliged to abandon explorations in the island of Santos for the remains of the Spanish navigators, owing to the only white companion he had with him being prostrated from fever. He professes to have learnt all about the doings of the French in tho New Hebrides. Archbishop Moran, assisted by a large number of other ccclesiasts, conseorated St. Mary's Abbey to-day. Dr. Doyle, Bishop of Grafton, and Dr. Hutohiuson, Vicar Apostolic of Oookfcown, Queensland, were also present.
