liegignation. — AUhs Goodman's resignation from Lower Mangorei school was accepted. Leave.— A month's leave of absence was given Mr. Dickie, master of Waitara East School.
Opunake. — A communication waß received from the Opunake School Committee, desiring that all documents and inetnos. snould be forwarded to the .Chairman of the- Committee, not to the master. — The Secretary of the Education Board stated that only three letters had been sent to the Opunake school during the lastnionth?, and with exception of a circular requesting a list to be sent with sawing specimens, each matter baa referred to the Committee. r Enlargement. — The Town School Com niittce applied to have their boundaries extended. — It was resolved, on Mr. Gibson's motion, seconded by Mr. Bluck, " That the proposal to enlarge the boundary of the Now Plymouth School District bo referred to the Committee's of the Frankloy Road and Fitzroy School Districts, with v view to arrange a boundary that will suit ull concerned."
Scholarships. — On Mr. Andbews 1 motion, seconder! by Mr. Wade, it was decided, '•That six scholarships bu offered in accordance with the Board'ti regulations."
I'r'v.es. — Mr. Kelly proposed, and Mr. Faull seconded, and it was curried, '•That £10 be soted for prizes* for the children in the primary flchools, based on tho standard resulte, as found by the Inspector's examinatioa on a scheme to be submitted to the Inspector." Instruction. — Mr. Kelly proposed, and Mr. Wade seconded, "That Mr. Dempsey be paid £2 10d. for instructing pupil teaclu'is who did not present themselves for examination." — Curried .
ReorgaiLuinq. — The Inspector made some bugnestions re reorganising the scl/00l staffs. The suggestions, on Mr. ITauu/.s motion, seconded by Mr. Wade, were adopted. Warm. — Tho names of Miss Mary Mills and .Mr. Wm. Hunt were selected to be Bubmittud lo the \V udi Committed for uppointim ril Accounts. — £!Ji %-i. vnw passed for paymciii.
