It is proposed at Chicago that a world's i fair shall be held ia that city in 1892, to j commemorate tho discovery of America. Roman coins of the times of Tiberius and Aurelian, in considerable quantities, have been discovered in an inland province of China. The removal of the impediments to tho navigation of tho Danube at the "Iron Gate " is to be carried out at last, in conformity with the stipulations of tho Treaty of Berlin. The Hungarian Government has decided to have the work executed. The cost is estimated ut £1,200,000.
