Bank shares continue to be in demand, and prices shew an upward tendency. Insnrance share* are not inquired for, bat prices remain firm at last week's quotations. There are bnyers for N. P. Gas shares, but none in the market. Money advanced on good freehold security at 8 per cent. ; higher rates are obtained on other securities. New Plymouth, February 10, 1882.
