Hack Hurdle Race, of 10 soys. ; entrance, 1 soy. j post entry ; one mile and a distance ; weights not less than lOst. For all horses that have never won an advertised race, hack races excepted. To start at 12 o'clock. 3. Flying Handicap, of 30 soys. ; a mile ; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 2 soys. Winner of any handicap of the value of 30 soys. or more after the declaration of weights to carry olbs. extra. To start at 12 30 o'clock. 4. Hack Race, of 7 soys. ; distance, about 1 mile ; entrance, 1 soy. ; post entry. Foi nil horses that have never won an advertised race, hack races excepted. To start at 1.15 o'clock. 5. Egmont Handicap, of 100 soys. ; second horse to receive 20 soys. from the stakes ; nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 4 soys. ; distance, 2 miles. Winner of any handicap of the value of 100 soys. or more after declaration of weights to carry olbs. extra. To start at 2 o'clock. C. Railway Plate, of 30 soys. ; 1$ miles ; weight for age ; entrance, 2 boys. To start at 3 o'clock. 7. Dibtrict Race Handicap, of 40 soys. ; distance, 2 miles ; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 2 soys. Open to all horses owned for six months prior to time of entry by bondjtde residents who have been living between the White Cliffs and the Manawatu River for that time. Winner of Egmont Handicap to carry olbs. extra. To start at 4 p.m. 8. Consolation Stakes Handicap, of 20 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; 1 mile and a distance ; nomination, 1 soy. ; acceptance, 1 soy. To start at 4.45 o'clock. RULES. No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition — that all disputes, claims, and objections arising oat of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Hawera, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 2 boys, to" the race fund. All race 3to be run under the W. J.C. Rales. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. Qualification fee for non-members, £1. No other nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing. Letters bearing the postmark of the date of entry, and telegrams of the same date, will be received. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one hnlfhour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys. to the Race Fand. The second horse saveß his atakes in all races, except otherwise stated. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, Egmont Handicap, and District Race Handicap, -will close at the Hod. | Secretary's Office, Hawera, on Gth March, at i 9 p.m. Weights declared on 13th March.
