Jrur.MENT Summons. — Pugl\ and Suiter r. H. P. Foster. Claim, £8 4h. lid.— His Worship said he bad received a letter from defendant offering to pay £2 per month. — Plaintiffs accepted the offer, aud mi ordor to tb.it effect was given. Defexdeh Cask. — Woodbeud c. Harlin. Claim, £14 Ss. Mr. Roy appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Samuel for defendant. — Tlie plaintiff stated that the defendant was a contractor at bush-felling, and engaged the plaintiff to work for him. The plaintiff worked for sixty-six days, when defendant left tbe work, and the plaintiff bad also to leave. Plaintiff had received £6 on account of wages due. — In cross-examination plaintiff admitted that the defendant had not agreed to give him any fixed rate of wages, but denied that the plaintiff was a partner in tbe contract with the defendant. — From questions put by tho Court, plaintiff admitted that he had at one time stated he was a partner with defendant. — Mr. Roy elected to take a nonsuit, and the Court ordered a nonsuit to be recorded.
