MUTINY IN INDIA.
TROOPS IN A STATE OF MUTINY. FATE OF THE~BMTIBH EMBASSY UNKNOWN. TROOPS ORDERED TO ADVANCE. [by cable.] Bombay, September 6. — A violent mutiny has broken out among tho troops at Cabul. Tho mutineers wero joined by the inhabitants, and attacked and fired tho British Presidency. The Ameer, Yakoob Khan, who did his utmost to quell the rebellion, was besieged iv his palace. The fate of the British Embassy is unknown. The British advance force at Shuter Garadain Pass, under General Roberts, will immediately advance on Cabul. General Stewart is ordered to hold Kandahar and the Khyber Passes. Another force will operate on Jelalabad.
