AUCKLAND— Yesterday.

Produce. — Butter, fresh, la. to Is. Bd.; m\\> batter, 9d. to Is. ; cggH, lOd. ; bacon and hams, Canterbury, Gil. to 10d.; ditto, provincial, 7d. to 9d. ; local potatoes, £(> to #6 os. ; Canterbury potatoes, M in quantities. Fodder.— At the Hnyuiarket fodder was In less quantity than of late 5 prices were Gd. per cwt. lower for tho greater portion sold ; maize, 45.; oats, 13s. a bushel. Horses. — Horse stock was in moderate supply and steady demand, all brought forward being sold ; prices were for medium (fraught, from £30 to £3G ; 8 harness horses, £9 to £15. There is good enquiry for young draught stock, and a draft of fresh animals will Hell well. Hides, &o.—> On August 26th hides were in steady demand, and brought from 2d. to 3W. the lb.; skins, from Is. Id. to 2s. (id. each. " Cattle Markets. — A small master of grown cattlo at Pnpaknra were eagerly competed for, and good prices obtained. — At Remuera on August 28th, dairy cattle brought from £7 to £9 10s., with a dull enquiry ; three-year-old steers of good quality £G; four-year-old steers, £7 12a. 6d, each; fat cattle were ih average number — 120 head yarded ; prices for best quality were better than last week, and steady at 30s. the 100 lbs., but in-ferior-fattod and coarse animals ranged from 245. and upwards ; store sheep were at low values ; good long-woollcd ewes, 10s. and 10a. Gd.; wethers, from Bs. to 11s. each ; fat sheep were in less numbers than last week, and at previous value*, varying with quality from 2{d. to 2jd. the lb.; store pigs froe of sale at satisfactory prices, but fat pigs were rather lower in price.
