Melbourne, August 28. At a caucus mooting it was resolved to remit tho Customs duties of £60,000; and Impost Stamp duties of £60,000. Mr. Berry, in tbo Assembly, proposed a Stamp Dnty of £70,000, to rescind 10 per cent, on hardware, and forego duty on drugs; also, to revise 30 feet goods to, tbo amount of £25,000. Melbouune, August 29. In the Legislative Assoinbly last night, Mr. John Or, member for Moira, moved an amendment to tho ft" form Bill. In his speech he referred to the reception of tho Embassy in England. The Government opposed the motion. It has been raining incessantly since the 25th instant, causing gloomy anticipations for prospects of harvest. Sydney, August 29. Heavy rains are falling all over tho Colony.
