MAIL NOTICES. . - Mails will be closed at the Chief Postoffice, Devon-street, as follows :—: — For Nelson and Southern Ports, per s.s. Taiaroa, on Tuesday, at 5 p.m. For Auckland and Northern Ports per s.s. Taiaron,- on Saturday, at 5 p.m. For Bell Block, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m. Close at Bell Block for New Plymouth on Tuesdays ancl Fridays at 4 p.m. For Oakura and Okato, close at New Plymouth every "Wednesday and Saturday at 3 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth same days at 10 a.m. For Pukearuhe, close al New Plymouth, "on Tuesdays and Fridays at 2.30 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Wednesdays f**' and Saturdays at' 12 noon. For Mokau, close at New Plymouth on Fridays at 2.30 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Wednesdays at 12 noon. For^Waitara, from Mondays to Fridays at 3.15 p.m. Saturdays, 4 p.m. lor Urenui, from New Plymouth, every Tuesday and Friday at 2.30 p.m., arriving at New Plymouth on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12 noon. For Hawera, Kakaramea, Manatahi (South) Normanby, Opuuake, Patea, Wanganui, and Wellington, close at New Plymouth every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at G a.m. Arrive at New Plymouth from the above offices every Tuesday. Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m.. Travelling letter-boxes will be attached to the train, to permit the posting of letters ( .vith the proper postage aflixed.) igj- Letters, Sec, are delivered daily in Town by a letter-carrier at 10 a.m. (Sundays and public holidays exceptcd.) Should mails by sea arrive later than 10 a.m., an additional delivery on such occasions will be made in the business parts of the town. Letter receiving-boxes are fixed at Mr. W. Beale's, Brougham-street; and Mr. J. Pugh's, Devon-street, and will be cleared daily at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.; and half-an-hour before the closing of the mails by the steamers.
